Principessa Maria, named after the last historic owner of the estate, is a Super Tuscan, inspired by
Right Bank Bordeaux in the style of Saint-Emilion not barreled to preserve its original red fruit
flavors.
The result is n elegant wine with delicious aromas of raspberry, an extremely silky texture full of
fluid curves, which is undoubtedly the wine most characteristic of the spirit of Villa Cosmiana.
It is the wine par excellence for refined Tuscan cuisine, long-simmered dishes, pasta dishes with
delicate sauces, poultry and mushrooms.

Principessa Maria
Principessa Maria is a tribute to Maria Antinori (1870-1933), the daughter of Duke Amerigo Antinori, hero of the Tuscan resistance to the Piedmontese annexation and faithful among the faithful of the grand ducal family of Tuscany. On the occasion of her marriage to Prince Giuseppe Aldobrandini in 1891, she received as a dowry the Villa Cosmiana and its 35 farms and then divided her time between the Villa Aldobrandini near Rome, where she lived with her husband and her two children, and the Villa Cosmiana, where she brought together, during long summer breaks, a circle of renowned artists and intellectuals of her time. Always in search of excellence, she constantly worked, with the help of her female manager, fattoressa Maddalena, to raise the quality of the estate’s agricultural products, successfully specializing Villa Cosmiana in the production of blended wines.
